July Camp 2023 will be breaking new ground!! This is the first time that July Camp has been
held at the picturesque Monk’s Cowl Camp Site!!!! Our Drakensberg is so special in that it still
after more than 100 years of July Camp, it still can offer us a new site for our Base Camp.
It also will be the first time that the Base Camp Site will be accessed by a tarred road right
into the parking lot! No dirt road at all!
Another innovation is that for the first time since the early 1960s, we will be offering July
Campers have the option of self-catering.
For those who prefer the existing July Camp model with catering provided, all the usual
arrangements will be provided and it will be July camp as you know and love it.
Children are very welcome as they have been since 2006. We look forward to sharing their
delight as they explore and discover our beloved Drakensberg.
The usual beautifully illustrated and very informative brochure will be sent out in March,
2023, but please diarise these dates, NOW.
