  • Mhlabatini Hike with Neil Grimmer
    All day
    2019.04.07

Meet Leader:  Neil Grimmer tel: 083 218 7233  email:  neil.grimmer@gmail.com

A trail of two parts. The intention is to first hike up to the escarpment to take in the expansive views looking south. From there we will return via the main stream feeding Mhlabatini and then make our way down this fun, yet challenging kloof. The route to the escarpment will not follow a marked trail, with steep uphill sections. Thus, although we will taking it easy, good fitness levels are required. The kloof itself (my favourite in the Magaliesberg) will require participants to climb down large boulders with compulsory swims in the latter sections.

    2019.04.07

Meet Leader:  Blake May  tel: 071 244 6801  email:  blakemmay@gmail..com

An offshoot kloof that branches off from Lower Tonquani, Boulder Kloof is a typical Magaliesberg kloof characterised by steep cliffs, and as its name suggests, massive, fallen boulders – making for striking scenery.  Climbs are generally of a high standard on good quality, steep rock but tend to be short.

Contact Blake if you want to participate.
